Creamed Spinach

Creamy, cheesy sauce is flavored with smoky bacon and plenty of garlic. It is high in fat and certainly not an every day dish but when you are craving something luxurious it tastes amazing.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound bacon chopped
  • 2 pound fresh spinach chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese cute in cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Fry the bacon in the pan until it is crisp and the fat has been rendered.
  • Add the spinach, stirring until it is wilted.
  • Add the cream cheese and stir until the cream cheese is melted and the spinach is covered with the sauce.
  • Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir to mix -- serve.

Notes

you can increase the cream cheese by half if you want it even creamier.
