In and Out Burger

OMG I Can Low Carb at In and Out! (Phase 2, OWL)

I am not a real big fan of fast food but I do like In and Out burgers. My favorite is, of course, the animalized double.

Dang those sauteed onions!

Anyway, I found out that you can get a low carb In and Out burger!

In and Out Burger

You can order your burger in a lettuce wrap and that takes care of most of the carbs and a lot of the calories. It isn’t low enough that you can eat one every day, and certainly not on induction, but when everyone else is headed out for burgers you can grab a protein shake from the fridge, order a lettuce wrapped burger and have as much fun as everyone else.

Probably more fun than they are because you are getting skinny and they aren’t. High five!

You just belly up to the bar and order it “protein style”. You’ll get a burger with ketchup and mustard, and onion in a lettuce wrap. I usually get cheese, too. One thing that you’ll notice is that the carb count doesn’t change no matter what size you get. If you aren’t watching calories go for the gusto with the Double Double Cheeseburger protein style. I usually ask them to hold the ketchup and bring my own keto ketchup from home.

If you feel like you are going to pick at someone’s fries it’s a good idea to bring in some pork rinds to keep your hands from going on walk-about. They don’t replace french fries but they satisfy that need to snack while you’re talking.

Here’s what you need to know and the nutritional value of the In and Out burgers when you order them protein style.

  1. the spread has carbs- so get it with no spread, no ketchup for fewer carbs- I bring my own may to put on- hubs likes it with mustard
