Low Carb Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Stevia or more if desired
  • Ginger thumb-sized
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds toasted
  • 1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan combine soy sauce, water, apple cider vinegar, stevia, ginger, garlic, and sesame seeds. Bring to a boil.
  • Mix xanthan gum and sesame oil in a small bowl then add into the boiling sauce until thickens. Remove from heat.

Notes

  1. You can replace soy sauce with coconut aminos if you prefer.
  2. Make sure to add in xanthan gum mixture while the sauce is boiling to avoid clumps
  3. Use the recipe to marinate any protein of your choice. It will taste good in chicken, tofu, shrimp, even broccoli and tempeh.
  4. This recipe serves about 1/2 cup.
